Thunderbird Squadron of Arnold Air Society Attend NATCON

Since 1950, Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings have congregated at a national conclave every year to serve as the legislative body of the organization. Over the past 74 years, Arnies and Silver Wingers have worked together to make this 4 day conference a professional development and networking opportunity for student leaders across the nation. The event changes locations every year based on what squadron sponsors a bid to host, and in April 2025 the National Conclave (NATCON) will be hosted in Atlanta, Georgia. On average, the cost per member to attend NATCON is $900+. Costs include registration, which is typically between $300-$400, airfare, meals, additional travel expenses, and preparation for the event (e.g. dry cleaning of formal Air Force service dress). We need your help to share our project and support our attendance to NATCON, so that the Thunderbird Squadron can continue to represent Oklahoma State, Air Force ROTC Detachment 670, and the U.S. Air and Space Force at the national level of our organization.

"The blue background stands for the sky in which we fly" The first of our national colors, your blue-level donation will help support fees for meals and miscellaneous travel fees

"The red of the star represents those men and women whose blood has been given to achieve that which we have achieved today" Our second national color, your red-level donation will offset the cost of registration for attendance to the conclave.

“The gold wings stand for the wings that hold us aloft, the wings we bear and wear, the symbol of our mission and our purpose.” Representing our 3rd national color, a gold-level donation will cover over half of registration fees and help offset the cost of airfare.

“The white in the star represents the purity of our intent, our loyalty to comrades, our determination to keep our wings and ourselves so strong...” The last of our national colors, a white-level donation would cover nearly all of the cost of airfare and lower the individual cost of registration to NATCON

Representing Arnold Air Society's national flower, a crimson glory rose-level donation would fully support the registration of a member our squadron to NATCON, lessening the independent financial cost of attending this event!

Will my PhilanthroPete gift be tax-deductible?

Yes. Each gift will receive a receipt for your contribution. If you selected a perk with an associated benefit, the fair-market value will be deducted from your gift when applicable. We generate a gift receipt and send it you for tax purposes usually within the week we receive your gift.
