Be a part of this #GivingTuesday by helping fight Food Insecurity at OSU! Every gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000! OSU Foundation At Oklahoma State University, we know that a student's success depends on more than just their academic performance — it’s about having access to basic needs like food, shelter and hygiene. The National College-Health Program calculates that 49.7% of OSU students face some level of food insecurity. For those students, these necessities can be difficult to secure. That's where the Cowboy Family steps in. This #GivingTuesday, you have the opportunity to support OSU’s efforts to address food insecurity and basic needs through a donation to the OSU Food Insecurity Fund. And this year, every gift to the Food Insecurity Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000! Your gift will support long-term solutions to food insecurity and basic needs on campus and ensure that systems and programs are created to eliminate food insecurity among all OSU students. Help OSU students in need this #GivingTuesday! "If it wasn't for Pete's Pantry I would have gone hungry more than once. One cannot succeed in university on an empty stomach and the fear of being hungry and alone is so big that can make you question every decision you ever made that got you here. Pete's Pantry always had a door opened for me, but it was more than just a helping hand. It was the way employees did it. Treating us with dignity, respect, and discretion.... Please know how much of a difference it makes in the lives of many students." - OSU International Student Pete's Pantry is made possible through generous donations from departments, student organizations, and community partners. Since opening, Pete's Pantry has seen over 10,000 visitors, with more than 1,100 visits during the fall 2024 semester. By giving today, you help create lasting change and ensure that every student has the resources they need to succeed. Thank you for supporting the Cowboy Family! Be a part of this #GivingTuesday by supporting the OSU Student Farm! Every gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000! OSU Foundation Oklahoma State University is innovating solutions to nourish the world — starting at home with the OSU Student Farm. The OSU Student Farms, located at the OSU Innovation Park, aims to provide low-income individuals and families easier access to healthier foods and plant the seeds of service for students who work the land. The Student Farm offers OSU students hands-on learning experiences while connecting them with faculty experts, peers and community members. They work throughout the year to provide fresh and healthy produce to Stillwater’s local foodbank, Our Daily Bread and Resource Center, whose clients include OSU faculty, staff and students. Your gift will ensure that the OSU Student Farm has all the necessary resources to help end hunger in the Stillwater community and on OSU's campus. Help OSU students this #GivingTuesday by supporting the Student Farm! Thanks to the generosity of a donor, every gift to the Student Farm will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000! “Public horticulture is a perfect example of the intersection between plants and people. You can see the direct impact that you have every time you deliver, every time Rachel [at Our Daily Bread] speaks with us on how we're helping many families. It's exciting to see that what I studied is going into practice.” - Samantha Pratt, horticulture graduate student and OSU Student Farm worker In its first year, the OSU Student Farm donated 54,000 pounds of produce to community partners. Classes in environmental science, soil science, food science and urban horticulture have been heavily involved in the Student Farm. In addition to its paid student workers, more than 150 students have gained hands-on experience while enriching their communities.
