Last year more than 15,000 people in Payne County did not know where their next meal would come from. International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Student Chapter at OSU has partnered with Our Daily Bread (ODB), Stillwater’s Food & Resource Center, to provide help for these individuals while developing important professional skills. As part of a course assignment, teams of four students will create dramatic structures using canned food to display at ODB’s annual fundraiser and inspire additional donations. The cans in each design will be donated to ODB after the event.
This project (known as CANstruction) is a unique opportunity for students to make a difference in their community while continuing their education, but we need your help. CANstruction designs are large and each requires more than 1,500 cans. This fund will help purchase the cans needed for the project.
