One of the many selling points of the Professional Science Master's (PSM) Program in Environmental Management offered at OSU-Tulsa is the industry-relevant training our students receive. The training received by our students not only makes them more marketable, but benefits the organizations hiring them by reducing onboarding costs and time. A perfect example of this is the 40-hour HAZWOPER class that is available to our graduate students as well as the general public.
Unfortunately, there are significant costs to the PSM Program in order to be able to offer this high-quality training. We need several Level A HAZMAT suits, disposable gloves, rubber boots, PVC piping, overpack drums, buckets, brooms, SCBA rental, etc. We also provide light snacks and many bottles of water. All of this adds up to roughly $8,000.
Your donation will have a meaningful and immediate impact on our ability to continue offering this popular and successful class at our OSU-Tulsa campus.
Thank you for your support and thank you for your donation.
Go Pokes!
Your $25 gift will go towards any number of things we need for this popular and exciting course.
Water water everywhere...and our students need to drink a lot of it. Life inside a sealed HAZMAT suit gets pretty hot. We need to make sure our students are well hydrated. Your $100 gift will help guarantee there is plenty to drink.
Your $300 donation will just about cover the cost of a single Level A HAZMAT suit. We need 15 of them!
Your $750 donation will cover the cost of renting self-contain breathing apparatus (SCBA) units. Our students don't just sit in a classroom, they put on the gear and put into practice what they have learned.
2012 marks the year our program was granted affiliation through the Association of Professional Science Master's. In fact, we were the only PSM affiliated program in the state until the OSU Geosciences Program became affiliated in 2022.
