Who Are We?
The College Democrats of Oklahoma State University is an organization that aims to work with students, faculty, and administration to establish proper and open conversations surrounding the betterment of our communities. We work to take necessary steps to improve Stillwater, Oklahoma State University, the state of Oklahoma, and the United States through progressive action and education.
Civic Engagement with Payne County Students!
In the Fall 2023 semester, the OSU College Democrats plan to host a civic engagement event on Oklahoma State Universities’ Stillwater campus for Payne county students. College and high school students from Stillwater, Perkins, Perry, and other surrounding towns will be invited to attend. At the event, we plan on educating students about the importance of being civically engaged -- regardless of what political party they identify with -- and the opportunity to meet with state politicians. With the money raised, we plan to provide food and refreshments at the event and create a scholarship competition for the students. Students will submit an essay on “Why Civic Engagement Matters” before the event to have the chance to win this scholarship. Ultimately, our goal is to show college and high school students the importance of voting, being active in their communities, and becoming civically engaged!

With the donation from this campaign, we are able to spread awareness about the importance of being involved in our communities from a young age. It’s important for our generation to rise up and become politically active. Your donation will provide us with the monetary support needed to give students a great experience at OSU and learn more about our communities!

Your gift will give Payne County students access to unique experiences in politics with little to no cost to them. We will be able to host events, inviting guest speakers such as politicians and activists, that will educate and inspire students to engage in public service. You will be recognized at our Civic Engagement Event.
