Our Crowdfunding Groups
Welcome to OSU's Men's Rugby philanthropete page! Our goal is to help grow the game of Rugby in Stillwater and the surrounding areas in Oklahoma. We will use the funds from this philanthropete project to help upgrade our practice equipment, supplement our travel costs (Hotel rooms, gas cards, etc.), and buy new uniforms since the last time new uniforms were purchased was over 10 years ago. This year is our club's 50th anniversary and we would like to create a foundation for the club to stand on so that future players will not have to worry about club funds. We have 23-25 active players on the team who are committed to growing the game of rugby at OSU. We play regional teams such as Arkansas, Kansas State, Kansas, and Missouri and we are a part of the Heart of America conference. This will pay for a players CIPP. A CIPP is USA Rugby's way for players to be insured while playing in conference games. Without a CIPP, a player cannot play in conference games.
$500 dollars will help pay for an updated tackle pad. This ensures that our players receive the safest and most up-to-date equipment for training.
The walrus is the old team mascot. This pays homage to the original XV that started this club and the troubles they went through to make this club what it is now. This year is the club's 50th anniversary and this money will be put towards a new scrum sled,
