Hearing Healthcare Patient Simulator
Help our class, CDIS 3123 Audiology Diagnosis, raise funds to use Theta-- an online hearing healthcare patient simulator! At the graduate level, our students train in a clinic to see real patients and become either an audiologist (hearing doctor) or speech-language pathologist. Our class is undergrad, so clinical training opportunities are limited. This online software will allow our undergrad students majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders hands-on clinical simulation to learn techniques for the medical diagnosis of hearing loss. In addition, we have used this simulator for approximately 75 students each of the last 3 years. In total we have trained over 200 students using this method. Your donation will allow our class of approximately 65 students to have the same opportunity. Our class appreciates your donations!
