What is Stillystock?

Stillystock is the OSU Music Industry Association's annual student-run music festival and canned food drive. The 2nd annual Stillystock will be held on March 29th, 2024, giving student bands an opportunity to showcase their talents and gain experience performing for a large audience. All genres of music are welcome, which allows us to feature students who may have limited chances to perform within their music education programs. Stillystock is open to the public, and we charge a small admission fee of $2 that goes directly to the Music Industry Association to fund additional performance and enrichment opportunities for OSU students. We also accept canned food items in lieu of the admission cost, and these items are donated to the Cowboy Commissary (a food pantry in the Greenwood School of Music).

In a fast-paced music industry, real-world experience is crucial to finding a job after graduation. Stillystock prepares music industry students for the challenges of producing a large-scale live music and performance event. The Festival Planning Committee is divided into subcommittees, allowing students to focus on logistics, public relations, marketing, and/or design. They can also be involved in selling merchandise and seeking out artists. Learning these skills will make our students more valuable to employers and help them to launch their careers. 

Your donation is greatly appreciated and will help to offset Stillystock's production costs. A large-scale music event requires sound and lighting equipment, decorations, marketing materials (such as fliers), and more.
