Our Crowdfunding Groups
The OSU Student Farms aims to provide low-income individuals and families easier access to healthier foods and plant the seeds of service for students who work the land. The Student Farm offers OSU students hands-on learning experiences while connecting them with faculty experts, peers and community members. They work throughout the year to provide fresh and healthy produce to Stillwater’s local foodbank, Our Daily Bread and Resource Center, whose clients include OSU faculty, staff and students.
Your gift will ensure that the OSU Student Farm has all the necessary resources to help end hunger in the Stillwater community and on OSU's campus. Help OSU students this #GivingTuesday by supporting the Student Farm!
The OSU Student Farm combats hunger by sustainably growing produce, including broccoli, spinach, lettuce, onions, to name a few! Moving forward, OSU plans to expand by adding a second field for vegetables, renovating an old swine barn, and building a washstand for onsite cleaning.
The OSU Student Farm has already donated 54,000 pounds of produce to community partners. Classes in environmental science, soil science, food science and urban horticulture have been heavily involved in the Student Farm. In addition to its paid student workers, more than 150 students have gained hands-on experience while enriching their communities.
