Inclusion Leadership Program

Who are we?

The Inclusion Leadership Program (ILP) is a dynamic year-long initiative designed to empower OSU sophomore students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become impactful leaders. We aim to cultivate a more diverse and inclusive environment on the OSU campus, within society, and throughout their professional endeavors.

The eligibility for ILP?

Each sophomore or second-year student mentor at OSU must uphold a minimum 3.0 GPA, enthusiastically embrace the opportunity to share their OSU experience through travel, and fully commit to a year-long transformative journey within the program.

What do we do?

ILP offers OSU sophomores a unique mentorship opportunity to support underrepresented, underserved, and marginalized high school students from the Tulsa and Oklahoma metro area as they navigate the college transition. ILP scholars receive financial assistance and engage in hands-on workshops throughout the semester designed to enhance their communication, leadership, and professional skills.

Why are we raising funds?

Your philanthropic contribution plays a pivotal role in our efforts to foster inclusive leadership skills among our students and empower them to positively impact their communities. Your donation to the ILP program will enable us to provide essential materials and speakers for our leadership development workshops, ensuring our students have the resources they need to thrive. With your support, we will cover a range of expenses, including:

  1. Food Expenses: Nourishing our students during workshops and events, fostering an environment conducive to learning and collaboration.
  2. Gallup Clifton Strength Assessment: Equipping our students with valuable insights into their unique strengths and leadership potential, guiding them on their personal and professional development journey.
  3. Teambuilding Activities: Facilitating interactive and engaging activities that promote teamwork, communication, and trust among our participants.
  4. Prizes and Shirts: Recognizing and rewarding student achievements, reinforcing their commitment to inclusive leadership, and fostering a sense of belonging within the program.
  5. Other Resources: Procuring additional tools and materials to enrich our inclusive leadership toolkit, ensuring our students can access the best resources available.

Furthermore, your generosity will support our end-of-year banquet, where our students can come together to celebrate their growth and accomplishments. This event serves as a testament to their dedication and hard work throughout the year, providing them with a well-deserved opportunity to reflect on their journey and connect with their peers.

In addition to supporting our programmatic initiatives, your donation will enable us to send ten students to the OSU TLX Student Leadership Conference, sponsored by the Hargis Leadership Institute. This conference offers our students a unique opportunity to expand their horizons, learn from industry leaders, and network with peers from across Oklahoma, empowering them to become change-makers in their own right.

Additionally, your support will allow us to send sophomore mentors to the Lead 4 Success Program put on by the Hargis Leadership Institute, further enhancing their leadership skills and enabling them to serve as role models and mentors for their peers.

Your generosity and commitment to inclusive leadership are genuinely inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for your support. Thank you once again for your generosity and belief in our mission. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of our students and the communities they serve.
