Our Crowdfunding Groups
The OSU Polo Club consists of 40 members and 15 playing polo ponies. We offer students the opportunity of a lifetime where they can, with no riding experience, get on a horse and learn how to become a polo player. Students can show off their skills to their families and local community at club member matches which are hosted twice a semester. Members can even try out to be on our JV or Varsity Teams which travel regionally and nationally. The club provides all riding equipment for the students allowing the great sport of polo to be more accessible for all but we cannot do this without the generous contributions from our donors and sponsors.
Our horses are cared for day and night by club members and officers. Without our furry pony friends, we would not have a club. We take delivery of about 2000 pounds of horse feed every four weeks, 5000 pounds of delicious hay every month during the winter and early spring seasons, and go through about 1600 gallons of water per week. The club currently hauls water with our truck about four to five times a week as our current property lacks running water. When caring for 15 horses, having running water is something super important. This is why we need your help to fundraise a new polo arena so we can move to our new facility.
As this new arena will cost us $50,000, a small donation goes a long way as it gets us one step closer to our fundraising goal. Founded in 2000, the OSU Polo Club has been operating for 24 years strong!
Your donation will provide one of our 15 horses a hoof trim which they get once every six weeks. To get all of our horses trimmed it costs about $750 - $1200
Your donation will feed our 15 horses for about 4-5 days with one round bale of delicious hay.
Your donation will help us build roughly 100 square feet of a 45,000 square-foot arena on our new facility.
This $500 donation will place you, on our new donor wall at our new polo facility when constructed.
This will supply the club with 20 feet of polo arena walls. We need a total of about 814 feet of arena walls. This allows our ponies to exercise in a safe and controlled environment. Without a fully enclosed arena for our polo ponies to exercise, the move to our new facility is not possible. This donation will also put you on our donor wall at our new facility when constructed.
