O'Colly Outreach is a transformative initiative designed to advance the mission of Oklahoma State University's (OSU) land-grant heritage by promoting extension, outreach, and creative activities within the state. Through strategic collaborations with small newspapers across Oklahoma, O'Colly Outreach aims to inspire and empower student journalism. The funds raised for O'Colly Outreach will support the initiative's growth and impact. These contributions will be utilized for content production, student training, and partnership development.
In this digital age it's crucial to upgrade and maintain our technological infrastructure, including software, hardware, and digital platforms to ensure efficient content sharing and delivery to partner newspapers. Furthermore, these funds provide us with reserves to provide training and workshops for student journalists to enhance their skills and stay updated with the latest industry practices. O'Colly Outreach will allow us to develop and sustain partnerships with local newspapers, including engagement activties, collaborative projects, and mutual exchange programs to promote long-term relationships and community engagement.
Through these targeted investments, O'Colly Outreach aims to create a concentrated system that enhances the educational experience for students and significantly benefits Oklahoma's local newspapers and the communities they serve, thereby enriching the learning of tomorrow's storytellers.
