Our Crowdfunding Groups
Every summer the Center for Research in STEM Teaching and Learning (CRSTL) hosts a conference at OSU for Oklahoma teachers. These K-12 STEM teachers come to strengthen their content knowledge, increase their classroom teaching strategies, expose themselves to new STEM-related topics in education, and network with other teachers across the state. This year we are looking to enhance and expand the teacher experience!
What will my funds go towards?
We are anticipating an increased growth of over 200 teachers in attendance this coming year! At the same time, we want to enhance the teacher experience by expanding offerings and allowing more opportunities to engage in STEM-related learning. This year the conference will include a maker space area for teachers to experience new learning and gain additional ideas for their classrooms. It will also include door prizes to further encourage teachers’ commitment to teaching, enhance their own understanding of content, and/or provide additional resources for their students to engage in STEM-related learning. Additionally, we are raising funds so each teacher can leave with a STEM Conference t-shirt and a modest swag bag as a small token of our appreciation for all the hard work they devote to this profession. Your funds will go to supporting these endeavors.
Why should I support this conference?
By supporting this conference, you are directly supporting our Oklahoma STEM teachers and their respective students. Teachers give up time in the summer to attend this conference, and they walk away inspired to continue in their profession and make an impact in their own classrooms. By supporting this conference, you are showing that you value the work they do and believe in the education of our Oklahoma students.
