The OSU-COM Med Gala is an annual celebration at the end of the fall semester for medical, physician assistant, and graduate students at the OSU Center for Health Sciences and the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation. This event brings together future health professionals for dinner, awards, and raffles. It aims to raise funds for two important causes: the Abbey Grace Renner Memorial Endowed Scholarship and the Osteopathic Student Emergency Fund. All donations raised during this campaign will support these two scholarship funds.
We are incredibly grateful to our family, friends, and supporters for their contributions to this cause. Whether you're providing scholarships to help students who exemplify the leadership qualities of the late Abbey Renner on their educational journey or offering emergency funds to assist osteopathic medicine students facing unforeseen challenges, your generosity will make a profound difference in their lives.
When people are attempting to further their educational goals or find themselves with their back against the wall, truly anything in that moment is worthwhile.
Support the class of 2027 officers in their vital endeavor to give back to their peers.
Personally, this begins putting a little bit more of a dent in my wallet, with this gift, the scholarships and funds really can start rising with the weekly cost I'd say the average medical student spends on caffeine.
As medical students we are gifted very early on new stethoscopes to begin our journey in learning to help people. When shopping online, one can see that just a singular stethoscope can cost $200.
While on the medical school track, most of us do not have any source of income outside of student loans. This can turn into a beast to pay off later on, now we're getting to the area to really help paying off bills.
Why not go ahead and invest in those who will be taking care of you in just a few years? Could be the best health insurance you have ever looked into.
