The College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT) is a community of scholars, innovators, and leaders dedicated to shaping a resilient and sustainable global economy. Our mission is to train professionals who excel in their fields and have the ability to design, innovate, and solve the world’s most pressing challenges.
A key component of this mission is ensuring our students gain hands-on, real-world experience—something that is further enhanced through study abroad programs. These programs, which take place over academic breaks (winter, spring, and summer), lasting from one to two weeks, offer more than just travel; they are immersive learning experiences that include business visits, factory tours, and cultural explorations centered around engineering, technology, and design. Past study abroad locations have included Japan, Portugal, Morocco, Mexico, Germany, South Korea, and several more, each offering unique opportunities for students to engage with global industries, gain valuable insights, and develop skills that are critical in today’s interconnected world.
Each program is designed for course credit, ensuring students not only gain cultural awareness but also practical knowledge that directly contributes to their academic and professional development. For many of our students, these experiences are their first chance to travel outside of the state or even board a plane, making them life-changing milestones.
Beyond the technical knowledge, these programs build confidence, foster cultural awareness, and open up new career possibilities that wouldn’t be possible without international exposure. Our students walk away from these programs with a deeper understanding of global markets, greater intercultural competence, and a renewed sense of purpose in their studies and future careers.
Unfortunately, financial barriers can prevent many of our talented students from taking full advantage of these transformative experiences. Your generous support will help fund CEAT study abroad scholarships, ensuring that cost is not an obstacle for students eager to expand their horizons, both academically and personally. With a 40% increase in student participation in the past academic year, we anticipate even greater demand for these programs in the 2025-2026 academic year. Now, more than ever, we need additional funding to support the growing number of students seeking these life-changing opportunities.

Your donation helps cover a portion of a student's scholarship, supporting the essential first steps in a student's journey abroad.
CEAT Study Abroad has seen a 40% increase in student attendance going abroad in the past academic year.
The average cost for travel supplies such as an adapter, travel bag, suitcase lock, and other necessary supplies. This ensures students have the tools they need to travel comfortably and safely.
Contributes to the global program fee that allows students to enroll in the study abroad program. Ensures students are registered and able to take full advantage of international educational experiences.
Contributes towards the cost of earning 3 credit hours for the required course while studying abroad. Helping reduce the financial burden of tuition and academic costs for students.
Provides a scholarship towards a student's overall program costs. Directly impacts the affordability of a student's study abroad experience, helping make international education more accessible.
Covers the average cost of a CEAT Study Abroad program (global program fee, tuition, & program fee) or can provide several small scholarships for students. Allowing a student(s) to study abroad without the financial burden making a life-changing educational experience possible.
This generous donation helps us reach our goal for the 2025-2026 academic year, providing several scholarships to CEAT students to study abroad. It provides the opportunity for students to experience international education, expand their horizons, and bring back valuable global perspectives.
