OSU Unified
Every Thursday night in Stillwater, OSU Unified welcomes adult Special Olympic athletes from across the state to join OSU student partners in playing Intramural Sports. The program recognizes the mutual needs of OSU student partners and Special Olympics athletes for inclusion, belonging and recreation. OSU Unified offers one-day tournaments in bocce, cornhole, and track and field as well as 6-week league play for flag football, basketball, and kickball.
OSU Unified is proud to be the:
- First Special Olympics Unified college program in Oklahoma
- First and only college in Oklahoma recognized as a Special Olympics National Banner Unified Champion School, a distinction awarded by Special Olympics North America for programs that meet the highest standards of inclusion and excellence
OSU Unified is a collaboration between OSU Center for Developmental Disabilities, OSU Department of Wellness, and Special Olympics Oklahoma. These partnerships have been instrumental to the program’s growth and success.
OSU Unified promotes inclusion and belonging, leaving a lasting impact on everyone this program reaches. Unified provides a community where athletes and partners build friendships, develop skills, and participate in friendly, but fierce, competition. OSU Unified provides a space where athletes and partners can encourage and grow alongside each other, fostering a community founded on sportsmanship, teamwork, and mutual respect. Your support amplifies the impact the program continues to have on OSU Unified partners, athletes, and their families.
