Empowering Women in Technical Fields
 Women remain underrepresented in high-demand industries like information technology, energy, construction trades, transportation, and engineering. Although women earn a significant share of degrees in these fields, they make up only about 11 percent of practicing engineers and are more likely to leave technical careers early due to limited support and professional networks. OSUIT’s Women in Industry program is committed to changing that by creating opportunities for female students to build confidence, gain exposure to diverse career paths, and connect with industry leaders who can inspire and guide their journeys.

A Transformative Opportunity
 With your support, we will send up to 12 students and 3 mentors to the 2026 Women in Industry Conference in Galveston, Texas. This regional gathering introduces students to role models, challenges myths and biases about women in technical fields, and strengthens their skills and professional networks. By funding travel, lodging, meals, and registration, you help ensure that these students can participate fully in workshops and networking opportunities that encourage them to persist in their chosen fields.
