Promoting International Culture: Global Campus Events
International Student Organization (iSo)
Introduction
The International Student Organization (iSo) is the umbrella organization for 20 area clubs that represent their cultures and countries from around the world. We are open to all international and American students attending Oklahoma State University. We also represent more than 1700 international students and scholars from more than 100 countries around the world. We hold approximately 8 events throughout the year that we encourage not only the international community at OSU to attend, but all students, staff, and faculty, as well as the Stillwater community.
The purpose of iSo is to:
- Foster a spirit of friendship and cooperation among all international students at OSU
- Promote social and cultural exchange between international students and the community
- Provide an organized body by means of which international students can cooperate in matters of common concerns and student welfare
- Bring closer relations among international students, the OSU administration, faculty, and the student body.
The goal of this project:
To raise funds to support the International Student Organization's events at Oklahoma State University, which promote cultural exchange, diversity, and inclusive experiences for all international students on campus. Events include food expos, parades, pageants, and graduation celebrations designed to foster community, celebrate diverse backgrounds, and enhance cross-cultural understanding.
Where your gifts will be making impacts?
Funds raised will be directly used to organize and improve upcoming ISO events scheduled for Fall 2025, such as the Food Expo, Homecoming Parade, and Graduation Party. This includes costs for venue rentals, food, decorations, promotional material, event logistics, and purchases for cultural displays. Any surplus will be reserved for Spring 2026 events and future cultural activities to ensure continuity and reach for international student
