GSM Prep Academy Scholarship Fund!

Who Are We?

The GSM Preparatory Academy was founded in 2017 as a community music school whose purpose is to serve the greater community by offering multiple forms of music making for all at the highest level of instruction. Our programs start with Music Together® for our littlest musicians, and include private lessons on strings, piano, and voice, Academy Singers Youth Choir, Cowboy Community Orchestra, and a satellite program for woodwinds, brass, and percussion students at local middle and junior high schools. Adults of all ages are also encouraged to participate in our private lessons program as well as our community orchestra. We currently serve over 150 students and employ over 30 OSU faculty, staff, and students as well as community teachers.

What Will Your Donation Do? 

Each semester, we give out numerous scholarships to dedicated students whose family need a little extra help to be able to continue thriving in our program. 

Donating to our PhilanthroPete will help ensure that we can continue to keep our rates low (they have not raised since our founding) and continue our scholarship program despite rising costs.  

Currently GSM Prep Awards 25% Tuition Scholarships for beginning through advanced private lessons. These tuition awards are given to hardworking students who have financial need. Students who receive scholarships are expected to attend lessons and maintain a practice log. 

Your Impact

All funds raised in this PhilanthroPete campaign will cover scholarships for students in the program.

Many of our students who have received scholarship from our program are top performers in the state, participating in activities such as All-State, Quartz Mountain, and even on to study music in college.
