About This Campaign
The Psychology Graduate Student Association (PGSA) is launching a campaign to fund two travel awards to assist OSU Clinical and Experimental Psychology doctoral students in sharing their research at professional meetings and advancing their careers. This project funds two named graduate travel awards that honor distinguished OSU psychology faculty and staff while supporting the next generation of psychological scientists and practitioners.
The R. Matthew Alderson Memorial Graduate Travel Award supports students whose research advances child and adolescent development or promotes pediatric health and well-being.
The Patricia Diaz Alexander Honorary Graduate Travel Award supports students whose work advances adult psychological health, well-being across the lifespan, or examines social and contextual factors influencing mental health.
Beyond travel support, funds will enable PGSA to recognize outstanding student achievement in research, clinical training, teaching, and service at our annual banquet. This project represents a direct investment in graduate student success, ensuring that financial constraints don’t prevent exceptional students from presenting their work at national conferences, building professional networks, and contributing to psychological science.
