COLLABORATE 918: OSU-Tulsa Civic Engagement Challenge
Description
What happens when OSU-Tulsa students partner with local organizations to solve real challenges facing our community?
Located in the heart of Tulsa, OSU-Tulsa is uniquely positioned to bring together students, businesses, nonprofits, and civic organizations to address issues that matter. Collaborate 918 is a new initiative that connects students with community partners through hands-on projects focused on innovation, leadership, and community impact.
Working in interdisciplinary teams, students will engage directly with organizations to research challenges, gather stakeholder input, and develop practical solutions. In the process, participants build leadership, communication, teamwork, and workforce-ready skills while expanding their professional networks.
As a first-year program, Collaborate 918 will establish a framework for ongoing collaboration between OSU-Tulsa and the Tulsa community. Support from donors will help provide project resources, mentorship opportunities, community engagement activities, and a final showcase where students can present their solutions.
By supporting Collaborate 918, donors become founding partners in a new tradition of student innovation and civic engagement. Together, we can empower students, strengthen community partnerships, and create meaningful impact throughout the Tulsa region.
Collaborate 918 is a student event open to all students.
