Send A Cowboy Abroad | HLI
Description
Study abroad can be one of the most transformative experiences of a student’s college journey. It takes learning beyond the classroom, introducing students to new cultures, perspectives, communities, and ways of thinking. These experiences can build confidence, independence, cultural awareness, and leadership skills that students carry with them long after they return home.
But for many Oklahoma State University students, the opportunity to study abroad can feel out of reach due to cost.
Send a Cowboy Abroad is a fundraising initiative for our Global Learning Experience Program within the Hargis Leadership Institute created to help remove those financial barriers. Funds raised through this project will support scholarships for OSU students participating in study abroad experiences, helping make global learning more accessible to students who may otherwise be unable to participate. It is a campus organization open to all students.
At the Hargis Leadership Institute, we believe leadership development happens through experiences that challenge students to step outside what is familiar, engage with different perspectives, and better understand themselves and the world around them. Study abroad provides a unique opportunity for students to do exactly that.
Your gift can help a student move from “I wish I could go” to “I’m going.”
Whether you give $5, $25, $50, or more, every contribution helps open the door to experiences that can broaden a student’s perspective and influence how they learn, lead, and engage with the world.
By supporting Send a Cowboy Abroad, you are investing in access, education, personal growth, and the development of globally minded leaders.
