HLI - Lead with purpose in Zimbabwe Study Abroad
Description
This interdisciplinary program blends cultural immersion with leadership development, offering a deep dive into the nation's rich history. Students will engage with local communities, explore iconic landmarks and enhance their academic and personal journey. Open to all majors.
Lead with Purpose in Zimbabwe Study Abroad is a campus organization open to all students.
Members of the President's Leadership Council (PLC) at OSU have the opportunity to travel to Zimbabwe, Africa, and learn from OSU Alumna and 2027 OSU Hall of Fame inductee, Dr. Tererai Trent.
During their time in Zimbabwe, students engaged in seminars with Dr. Trent and interact with her work in rural villages, all while gaining insights into global and cultural perspectives on ethical leadership. Additionally, students will visit the breathtaking Victoria Falls waterfall and tour the towns of Harare and Matau.
The funds raised will be used for scholarships for OSU students who have not had a study abroad experience and want to complete a global leadership study aboard course with the staff and faculty of the Hargis Leadership Institute.
