Description

Form, Fabric, and Flow: Immersive Learning in Japan 2027

Form, Fabric, and Flow is an immersive study abroad experience that takes Oklahoma State University students to Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, Japan. Students will explore the intersection of tradition and innovation through firsthand experiences in design, fashion, interiors, textiles, retail, architecture, and Japanese culture. Through site visits, cultural experiences, and reflection, students will connect classroom learning with the global design environment while developing a deeper appreciation for Japanese culture and creativity.

Design and Merchandising (DM) Study Abroad is a campus organization open to all students, regardless of their major. The organization promotes global learning, cultural exploration, and international experiences through study abroad opportunities, such as Form, Fabric, and Flow: Immersive Learning in Japan 2027. These experiences allow students to explore design, culture, innovation, and creativity while gaining valuable global perspectives.

The Design and Merchandising department is located within the College of Education and Human Sciences at Oklahoma State University.
