OSU Clarinet Ensemble ICA ClarinetFest® 2027
Description
The Oklahoma State University Clarinet Ensemble is a campus organization open to all students and was founded in spring 2025 under the direction of Assistant Professor of Clarinet Wendy Bickford. Open to all OSU students, the ensemble brings together 20–30 clarinetists from across the university. The ensemble is delighted to make its first appearance at the International Clarinet Association's ClarinetFest® in Salt Lake City, Utah from July 7-11, 2007, representing Oklahoma State University and sharing its passion for the clarinet with the broader international clarinet community. We will be premiering a work by OSU student composer, Lucas Ryan Getts, at this event.
Embracing Oklahoma State University’s land-grant mission of service and engagement, the ensemble is committed to connecting with music educators and students across the state. The OSU Clarinet Ensemble regularly collaborates with public schools, presenting joint performances with Oklahoma high school clarinet ensembles and hosting OSU Clarinet Day, which brings together more than 80 clarinetists for a large-scale combined ensemble experience.
We thank you for your support in helping us get to this event. ClarinetFest allows the opportunity for our students to meet and learn from specialists from around the world. This event provides lifetime networks and benefits for all our ensemble members. Your support will make it possible for our students to afford attending this event by cutting down on the travel costs. With 20-30 attending, our students will need to raise at least $30,000 for travel.
