OSU Soils Judging Team

The Oklahoma State University Soil Judging Team is a campus organization open to all students. We are raising $3,000 to help our team travel to Kingsville, Texas, for this year’s regional soil judging contest.

During the competition, we are challenged to analyze pre-dug soil pits to evaluate soil characteristics and determine the best ways to utilize and manage the land. Soil judging gives us the opportunity to take what we learn in the classroom and apply it in the field, developing skills that are valuable in future agricultural careers, natural resources, and land management.

Last fall, our team proudly won the regional contest, and we are excited for the opportunity to represent OSU again at the regional level. Competing allows us to challenge ourselves, learn from students and coaches from other universities, and gain experience with a wide variety of soils. Your support will help us gain valuable hands-on experience while expanding our knowledge of soils and land management.

Funds raised will help cover lodging, meals, registration fees, travel expenses, van rentals, and fuel while we are away for a full week. Your support helps make this opportunity possible for our team. Every contribution, large or small, brings us one step closer to Kingsville and helps us continue developing the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions about our most valuable natural resource: SOIL!

We are grateful for the support of our OSU community, alumni, friends, family, and everyone who believes in investing in the next generation of agricultural students. Thank you for supporting the OSU Soil Judging Team!
