Support Literacy Graduate Students: Promote Literacy Research
Description
Make an impact on literacy education! Our graduate students in Literacy and Language Arts Education are asking big questions—addressing current problems and needs in the teaching of reading, writing, and language arts. They're studying ways to transform literacy education spaces that enrich, empower, and advocate for all learners.
Your gift will support graduate students each year in sharing innovative scholarship in literacy education with teachers and teacher educators at professional conferences.
The funds will help students afford the costs of conference registration, transportation, hotel, meals, and related expenses. Your Philanthropete support will reduce financial barriers and enable students to participate in the professional spaces where knowledge is shared, partnerships are formed, and educational change begins. Many students can’t afford to attend these professional conferences, and graduate students have limited financial support and scholarships available.
By supporting our travel, Philanthropete donors are investing in the sharing of research that strengthens literacy teaching and learning. The knowledge and professional connections developed through these experiences help educators continue to improve literacy and language arts education in Oklahoma, in the nation, and beyond.
[Literacies and Language Arts Education is an academic program option within the PhD in Education. It is open to students who have been admitted into this degree option.]
