OSU Sailing Club
Description
In the early 2000's, the OSU Sailing Club was extremely active in sailing competitions and regattas across the region, bringing home trophies and and amazing memories back to Lake Carl Blackwell. With your support, we plan to grow once again to a competing club. All money raised by this campaign will go directly to maintaining our fleet, refurbishing our dock, and to provide resources for students to compete at a higher level. Together, we can ensure that the OSU Sailing Club continues to grow as a source of pride for our university and community.

Why a Sailing Club Matters at OSU
While Oklahoma may be landlocked, the skills and experiences gained on the water translate far beyond sailing. Our team gives students the opportunity to:
- Represent OSU at regional and national competitions..
- Create lifelong friendships and networks, strengthening the Cowboy family both on and off the water.
- Experience adventure and competition, fostering a healthy, active lifestyle.

Benefits to the Community
The OSU Sailing Club is a resource for more than just its members. We allow not just OSU students, faculty, and staff to join, but also local Stillwater community members who have an interest in sailing. By maintaining an active program, we:
- Enhance access to Lake Carl Blackwell, bringing revenue and awareness to lakefront areas through training, races and events.
- Offer volunteer opportunities and youth outreach.
- Attract visitors to Stillwater and surrounding communities when hosting regattas and team events.
- Promote OSU pride, showing that our university excels not only on the field but also on the water.

How Your Donation Will Be Used
Every dollar raised directly supports our students and facilities:
- Fleet maintenance and repairs, ensuring our boats are safe, reliable, and competition-ready.
- Dock refurbishment, improving accessibility and creating a lasting resource for the team and community.
- Competition support, helping dedicated students travel to races and regattas to represent OSU on a larger stage.
- Construction of a new Sailing Club boathouse. Just this year we have had to move out of our Lake Carl Blackwell home for 30+ years and are in need of a more permanent long term boathouse on the lake.
