Oklahoma State University Hosts Regional Conference - April 13-15, 2018
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Student Conference for the Mid-America region is returning to Oklahoma State University after twelve years. AIChE's Regional Student Conference is an annual event that attracts the best and brightest engineering students from colleges and universities across the Midwest. The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for serious-minded students to come together to share their technical knowledge, compare notes on their university experiences and plans for the future, and to meet with industry professionals.
The highlights of the meeting are several exciting competitions:
Students from each visiting university prepare entries and teams, and the winners travel to AIChE's Annual National Meeting to compete against the first place winners in AIChE's eight other regions for the top prize(s).
In addition to these competitions, we will be hosting a company/graduate school fair which will provide networking opportunities with company recruiters as well as graduate school representatives. Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to grow professionally through various networking activities and speaker meetings that will happen throughout the conference.
Why We Need Your Help
Our goal is to represent our university as well as our chemical engineering department to the best of our ability by using this conference as a platform to do so. Since we will be hosting over 200 students from 12 different universities, the expenses for the conference will be significantly higher than the OSU AIChE Student Chapter’s funding. Additionally, our first and foremost objective is to keep the registration costs as low as possible so as to increase the participation. Your contribution will go a long way towards realizing this objective. Each contribution will directly benefit all attendees of the conference by allowing us to provide lodging and food to everyone, bring in speakers and judges, and pay for equipment and location expenses to host our ChemE competitions.

Each student will receive a few gifts upon registration along with pertinent information about the conference.
