We are raising funds to help theatre students attend the 2025 USITT (United States Institute of Theatre Technology) Annual Conference and Stage Expo in Columbus, Ohio.
Since our founding as a student chapter in 2021, our group has doubled in size. Starting with only 12, we now support 28 members. Last year, we were able to fund 6 members to go to the conference in Seattle. This year, we hope to support at least 10 members.
Students will have opportunities to attend educational sessions, see exhibits, visit with attendees, and make professional job contacts. Expo attendees include a wide range of professionals across the theatre and entertainment industry. Students who attended last year's conference left with paid internships and job positions in all parts of the industry.
USITT is a membership organization that aims to advance the skills and knowledge of theatre, entertainment, and performing arts professionals involved in the areas of design, production, and technology. Starting in 1961, the international annual conference has become an important place for theatre professionals of all ages to connect.
A little bit about our members...
Our club has students of all years and majors involved, regardless of their experience in theatre. United by a love for technical theatre and design, our chapter aims to facilitate experience-building opportunities for our members.

USITT was founded in 1960 as an organization to promote dialogue, research, and learning among practitioners of theatre design and technology. Today it has grown to include members at all levels of their careers and has embraced the new technologies being used in entertainment.
