Busy Busy BUSY! Week 4 update!

November 16, 2024

This week was incredibly busy for our USITT students!

Starting off with the Autumn Arts Gala:

Owe Morris, our president, showcased a regency tailcoat made for the OSU Theatre's Production of Ada and the Engine. Owe took 2nd place in the adjudicated portion!!

Stella Green presented a costume based off of the Ms. Spider character from the musical James and the Giant Peach. Stella was runner up for the People's Choice Award!

We are so proud of our USITT students!

Next up, card making and tabling for Servant of Two Masters! You still can come see Servant and visit our table. We are raffling off masks that our members made and as always, we have trading cards for donations!

We have more photos and updates to come, so be on the look out! Have a great weekend!

There's Lots to Look Forward To! Week 3 update

November 07, 2024

As A Servant of Two Masters get closer, our USITT members get more and more excited! With costumes, set, and lighting putting the finishes touches to their designs, it is almost time for us to make trading cards. For each show, we take pictures of the cast in costumes and makeup with the set, and create trading cards. Our trading cards are a way for us to raise money and send more students to USITT conference, and it is a blast making them!

Here's a picture from our card making day for Little Women!

Also coming up, in support of Servant, we will be hosting a mask making event! We cannot wait to show you the amazing masks our students are going to make!

As always, thank you for your support and we hope to see you at A Servant of Two Masters!

Masters of Multi-tasking: Week two update!

November 03, 2024

Our USITT students are incredibly involved and many of them work on multiple shows at a time!

Here are some images of USITT students loading in lights for the TCO production of Puffs!

Being true masters of multi-tasking, we also have students who simultaneously worked on the OSU Theatre's production of A Servant of Two Masters. Take a look at some sneak peaks from USITT students working on Servant costumes!

Want to support our students further? You can see their incredible work in person November 15-17th at any of the three showings of A Servant of Two Masters!

As always, your generosity is greatly appreciated and our platform has seen great success these past two weeks!

USITT Students Learning and Growing: Week one update!

October 27, 2024

This past Friday, our club hosted a Wand Making workshop: a small peek into the magical world of prop making! We had a fantastic turnout of almost 30 students. Here is some exclusive content from the event.

As well as the workshop, a few of our members joined our Faculty Advisor, Jason Estala at StoneCloud's "Zombie Prom" Halloween event to do makeup, in collaboration with the Prairie Arts Center. It was an amazing opportunity for our young technicians and designers to practice fast-paced makeup looks on the public!

Thanks to you all, our platform has seen success in just our first week! Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Stay tuned for more updates! Follow our Instagram @usittosu for more information about our events, students, and for more behind-the-scenes content.
