Our Crowdfunding Groups
The OSU Cowboy Music Camp, established in 2016, has been providing young musicians with the opportunity to grow their skills through immersive, hands-on experiences. Hosted by the Greenwood School of Music, the camp offers a supportive environment where students can enhance their musical abilities and connect with peers who share their passion. As we gear up for our 2025 camp, we are launching a PhilanthroPete campaign to ensure that every aspiring musician has the opportunity to attend and thrive in our program. With a goal of welcoming 125 campers, we’re committed to providing expert instruction through large and small ensembles, masterclasses, and individual lessons.
Our campers consistently shared how impactful the OSU Cowboy Music Camp has been for their growth as musicians. From receiving valuable college-level input and exploring new interests in the music industry to connecting with peers in a supportive community, the experience is transformative. One camper said, “Playing and meeting fellow musicians was incredible—I loved seeing each person's unique style shine through in their music and learning from their different approaches.,” while another shared, “This is the best camp I’ve been to. Our PhilanthroPete Goals:
1. Support the 2025 Cowboy Music Camp: Your contributions will help cover essential costs, ensuring that our camp continues to provide top-tier musical instruction and experiences.
2. Scholarships for Young Musicians: We believe that financial barriers should never stand in the way of talent. Donations will fund scholarships, allowing talented young musicians from all backgrounds to attend the camp and develop their skills.
3. Transportation to the Starlight Band Concert: The Starlight Band concert in Tulsa, OK, will be a highlight of our camp experience. Funds raised will help provide transportation for our campers, giving them the chance to be inspired by live performances and learn from professional musicians.
