A lot of conferences require travel, which means often times attendees have to pay for meals during the duration of travel. This adds to the financial restraints of attending conferences. This donation ensures that a member of SES will not have to worry about one of their meals while traveling for a conference.

When wanting to present your research at a conference, you will be required to submit an abstract of your work that must be approved. Often times, there is a fee for submitting an abstract. A donation at this level will help cover the cost or cover some of the cost of an abstract submission!

When a conference is in state or located in a drivable distance from home, people prefer to drive rather than fly since it is less expensive. However, that is not to say that having to fill up their car with gas is cheap. A donation at this level will cover a tank of gas for a member traveling to an in-state conference.

To attend a conference, you have to register for it! Registration fees are often times one of the most expensive parts of attending a conference, ranging from $0 to over $700. This donation will help pay for someone's registration, or even fully cover the cost!

When conferences are at a large scale, they typically have "Designated Hotels" where they will have room blocks for attendees to stay at during the duration of the conference. While these rooms are usually listed at a discounted rate, they can still be rather pricey. A donation at this level will help with paying for lodging of one our members when they travel for a conference!
