Each member of our ensemble had to pay $40 for the entry fee to enter into the National Trumpet Competition.
We have three soloists who also advanced in the competition. They must pay to have a pianist collaborate with them at the competition.
This year our studio members arranged a composition called Hunting Wabbits by Gordon Goodwin. They paid $300 to secure the rights for public performances of their arrangement.
We need three hotel rooms to house the 12 studio members who will be attending the competition in 2025. The conference rate, plus taxes and fees is close to $500 per room for the length of our stay.
We love competing at NTC but we would be thrilled to present our work at the International Trumpet Guild annual conference, too.
It's never too late to start planning for next year! We have advanced to the live round for a decade and anticipate we will be active in the National Trumpet Competition next year, too.
At a recent concert, a patron said "Incredible! I've never heard or seen anything like that!" We would love to show the world how well we can perform.
