Our Crowdfunding Groups
The concept of the meat judging program is to train individuals to distinguish differences in relative value of various meat cuts. The benefit of involvement goes much further than evaluation; students learn to make rapid, logical decisions and defend their decisions via written reasons. They improve their ability for critical thinking and accurate communication. Students become organized and self-disciplined, learn to accept criticism and develop self-confidence.
What are we raising funds for?
The team is raising funds to help cover costs associated with practice supplies, competing, including entry fees, travel, and lodging. The team represents OSU in approximately eight contests annually.
The program has a tradition of developing industry leaders and strong alumni. Relationships developed among team members and coaches help students better interact with others. Bonds developed between members and coaches are cherished for a lifetime. These bonds often provide a sense of family and community to a large campus.

The OSU Meat Judging Team started in 1926, upholds the tradition of excellence with 19 meat judging national championships – the most of any university in the country.
